And they brought the head of Isboseth to David to Hebron; and they said to the king: Behold the head of Isboseth the son of Saul thy enemy who sought thy life. And the Lord hath revenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

And again Saul sent to see David, saying: Bring him to me in the bed, that he may be slain.

And threw it, thinking to nail David to the wall: and David stept aside out of his presence twice.

But Abner the son of Ner, general of Saul's army, took Isboseth the son of Saul, and led him about through the camp,

And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan the son of Saul loved David exceedingly.
