Then David said to his young men: Let every man gird on his sword. And they girded on every man his sword. And David also girded on his sword: and there followed David about four hundred men. And two hundred remained with the baggage.

Now, when David and his men were come to Siceleg on the third day, the Amalecites had made an invasion on the south side upon Siceleg, and had smitten Siceleg, and burnt it with fire.

So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him. And they came to the torrent Besor: and some being weary stayed there.

And the king going forth and all Israel on foot stood afar off from the house.

And it was told Saul that David was fled to Geth: and he sought no more after him.
