And they committed fornication in Egypt: in their youth they committed fornication. There were their breasts pressed down, and the teats of their virginity were bruised.

Wherefore say to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Verily, you are defiled in the way of your fathers and you commit fornication with their abominations.

But their children provoked me, they walked not in my commandments nor observed my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them: and they violated my sabbaths. And I threatened to pour out my indignation upon them and to accomplish my wrath in them in the desert.

But the house of Israel provoked me in the desert: they walked not in my statutes and they cast away my judgments, which if a man do he shall live in them, and they grievously violated my sabbaths. I said therefore that I would pour out my indignation upon them in the desert and would consume them.

If thou judgest them, if thou judgest, O son of man, declare to them the abominations of their fathers.

For I know that, after my death, you will do wickedly, and will quickly turn aside from the way that I have commanded you: and evils shall come upon you in the latter times, when you shall do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him by the works of your hands.

For I know thy obstinacy, and thy most stiff neck. While I am yet living, and going in with you, you have always been rebellious against the Lord. How much more when I shall be dead?

And your sin that you had committed, that is, the calf, I took, and burned it with fire: and breaking it into pieces, until it was as small as dust, I threw it into the torrent, which cometh down from the mountain.

And I will leave the remnants of my inheritance, and will deliver them into the hands of their enemies. And they shall become a prey, and a spoil to all their enemies.

Moreover Manasses shed also very much innocent blood, till he filled Jerusalem up to the mouth: besides his sins, wherewith he made Juda to sin, to do evil before the Lord.

And you have not heard me, saith the Lord, that you might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, to your own hurt.

And the earth is infected by the inhabitants thereof: because they have transgressed the laws, they have changed the ordinance, they have broken the everlasting covenant.

And I will give them up to the rage of all the kingdoms of the earth: because of Manasses the son of Ezechias the king of Juda, for all that he did in Jerusalem.

He. Her adversaries are become her lords, her enemies are enriched: because the Lord hath spoken against her for the multitude of her iniquities: her children are led into captivity, before the face of the oppressor.
