For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor, for your sakes; that through his poverty you might be rich.

He that spared not even his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how hath he not also, with him, given us all things?

Even as the Son of man is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.

But God commendeth his charity towards us; because when as yet we were sinners, according to the time,

As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as needy, yet enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

That he might shew in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace, in his bounty towards us in Christ Jesus.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hearken, my dearest brethren: hath not God chosen the poor in this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him?

To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ,

To do good, to be rich in good works, to give easily, to communicate to others,

If then you have not been faithful in the unjust mammon; who will trust you with that which is the true?

In these days hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world.

Jesus said to him: The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

I counsel thee to buy of me gold fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich; and mayest be clothed in white garments, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

To know also the charity of Christ, which surpasseth all knowledge, that you may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

I give thanks to my God always for you, for the grace of God that is given you in Christ Jesus,

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And he shall grow up as a tender plant before him, and as a root out of a thirsty ground. There is no beauty in him, nor comeliness: and we have seen him, and there was no sightliness, that we should be desirous of him:

For the law was given by Moses; grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

He that shall overcome shall possess these things, and I will be his God; and he shall be my son.

The first man was of the earth, earthly: the second man, from heaven, heavenly.

Now if the offence of them be the riches of the world, and the diminution of them, the riches of the Gentiles; how much more the fulness of them?

And for them do I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

Jesus answered, and said: This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joseph, and Jude, and Simon? are not also his sisters here with us? And they were scandalized in regard of him.

Thus saith the Lord: As if a grain be found in a cluster, and it be said: Destroy it not, because it is a blessing. So will I do for the sake of my servants, that I may not destroy the whole.

FOR Sion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for the sake of Jerusalem I will not rest till her just one come forth as brightness, and her saviour be lighted as a lamp.

Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church:

And Joanna the wife of Chusa, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who ministered unto him of their substance.

For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written: The reproaches of them that reproached thee, fell upon me.

I know thy tribulation and thy poverty, but thou art rich: and thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
