And the Lord said to the servant: Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

For which I am an ambassador in a chain, so that therein I may be bold to speak according as I ought.

For the lips of the priest shall keep knowledge, and they shall seek the law at his mouth: because he is the angel of the Lord of hosts.

Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we use persuasion to men; but to God we are manifest. And I trust also that in your consciences we are manifest.

He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.

Who also hath made us fit ministers of the new testament, not in the letter, but in the spirit. For the letter killeth, but the spirit quickeneth.

He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.

Therefore, he that despiseth these things, despiseth not man, but God, who also hath given his holy Spirit in us.

And we helping do exhort you, that you receive not the grace of God in vain.

But Jeremias answered: They shall not deliver thee. Hearken, I beseech thee, to the word of the Lord which I speak to thee, and it shall be well with thee and thy soul shall live.

Submit thyself then to him, and be at peace: and thereby thou shalt have the best fruits.

Or rather shall it take hold of my strength? Shall it make peace with me? Shall it make peace with me?

If there shall be an angel speaking for him, one among thousands, to declare man's uprightness,

Behold, God hath made me as well as thee, and of the same clay I also was formed.

And the Lord the God of their fathers sent to them, by the hand of his messengers, rising early, and daily admonishing them: because he spared his people and his dwelling-place.

And I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending, and saying: Do not commit this abominable thing which I hate.

The messenger of the wicked shall fall into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

And thou didst admonish them to return to thy law. But they dealt proudly, and hearkened not to thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them. And they withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

And the Lord testified to them in Israel and in Juda by the hand of all the prophets and seers, saying: Return from your wicked ways, and keep my precepts, and ceremonies, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers; and as I have sent to you in the hand of my servants the prophets.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.

And through him to reconcile all things unto himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, both as to the things that are on earth, and the things that are in heaven.
