I will pluck you up by the root out of my land which I have given you: and this house which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast away from before my face, and will make it a byword, and an example among all nations.

And the Lord cast off all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, till he cast them away from his face:

And thou shalt be lost, as a proverb and a byword to all people, among whom the Lord shall bring thee in.

Thus saith the Lord: Thus shalt thou say to him: Behold, them whom I have built, I do destroy: and them whom I have planted, I do pluck up, and all this land.

And I will deliver them up to vexation and affliction, to all the kingdoms of the earth: to be a reproach and a byword and a proverb, and to be a curse in all places to which I have cast them out.

And the Lord God shall strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water. And he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river: because they have made to themselves groves, to provoke the Lord.

I will take away Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And the temple which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast out of my sight. And Israel shall be a proverb, and a byword among all people.

And he hath cast them out of their land, in anger and in wrath, and in very great indignation: and hath thrown them into a strange land, as it is seen this day.

And as I have watched over them, to pluck up and to throw down and to scatter and destroy and afflict: so will I watch over them, to build up and to plant them, saith the Lord.

All the glory of the king's daughter is within in golden borders,

These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water, which are carried about by winds, trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots,

I will suddenly speak against a nation and against a kingdom to root out and to pull down and to destroy it.

But if they will not hear, I will utterly pluck out and destroy that nation, saith the Lord.

Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?

For if you will not follow him he will leave the people in the wilderness: and you shall be the cause of the destruction of all.

So I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land which you know not, nor you fathers: and there you shall serve strange gods, day and night, which shall not give you any rest.

And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour: Why hath the Lord done so to this great city?

In that you provoke me to wrath with the works of your hands, by sacrificing to other gods in the land of Egypt, into which you are come to dwell there: and that you should perish and be a curse and a reproach to all the nations of the earth?

And I will bring the worse of the nations and they shall possess their houses: and I will make the pride of the mighty to cease and they shall possess their sanctuary.

And the enemies set fire to the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burnt all the towers; and whatsoever was precious they destroyed.
