And my people, upon whom my name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to me, and seek out my face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

He that hideth his sins, shall not prosper: but he that shall confess, and forsake them, shall obtain mercy.

Behold, I will close their wounds and give them health, and I will cure them: and I will reveal to them the prayer of peace and truth.

Say to them: As I live, saith the Lord God, I desire not the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way, and live. Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways: and why will you die, O house of Israel?

Then hear thou from heaven, O Lord, and forgive the sins of thy servants and of thy people Israel, and teach them the good way, in which they may walk; and give rain to thy land which thou hast given to thy people to possess.

Is there no balm in Galaad? Or is no physician there? Why then is not the wound of the daughter of my people closed?

We are become as in the beginning, when thou didst not rule over us and when we were not called by thy name.

And there shall come a Redeemer to Sion and to them that return from iniquity in Jacob, saith the Lord.

Hear thou from heaven, from thy high dwelling-place, and forgive, and render to every one according to his ways, which thou knowest him to have in his heart (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men);

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I have not said to the seed of Jacob: Seek me in vain. I am the Lord that speak justice, that declare right things.

We would have cured Babylon, but she is not healed: let us forsake her and let us go every man to his own land: because her judgment hath reached even to the heavens and is lifted up to the clouds.

Hear, O God, my supplication: be attentive to my prayer,

And they shall invoke my name upon the children of Israel: and I will bless them.

And all the people of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord is invocated upon thee, and they shall fear thee.

Hear thou from heaven, thy firm dwelling-place, and do all that which that stranger shall call upon thee for; that all the people of the earth may know thy name, and may fear thee, as thy people Israel, and may know, that thy name is invoked upon this house, which I have built.

Thou therefore, O son of man, say to the children of thy people: The justice of the just shall not deliver him, in what day soever he shall sin: and the wickedness of the wicked shall not hurt him, in what day soever he shall turn from his wickedness: and the just shall not be able to live in his justice, in what day soever he shall sin.

And Josaphat being seized with fear betook himself wholly to pray to the Lord: and he proclaimed a fast for all Juda.

And Juda gathered themselves together to pray to the Lord: and all came out of their cities to make supplication to him.

The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.

Why wilt thou be as a wandering man, as a mighty man that cannot save? But thou, O Lord, art among us, and thy name is called upon by us: forsake us not.

In those days and at that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Juda together: going and weeping, they shall make haste and shall seek the Lord their God.
