And it happened that one of the people shot an arrow at a venture, and struck the king of Israel between the neck and the shoulders; and he said to his chariot man: Turn thy hand, and carry me out of the battle, for I am wounded.
But Jehu bent his bow with his hand, and shot Joram between the shoulders. And the arrow went out through his heart, and immediately he fell in his chariot.
And he went back to be healed, in Jezrahel: because the Syrians had wounded him in Ramoth when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ochozias the son of Joram king of Juda went down to visit Joram the son of Achab in Jezrahel: because he was sick there.
