And Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which he hath spoken, is good. And he said: Only let peace and truth be in my days.


And the Lord said to me: If Moses and Samuel shall stand before me, my soul is not towards this people. Cast them out from my sight and let them go forth.


And they removed him from the chariot into another, that followed him after the manner of kings: and they carried him away to Jerusalem. And he died, and was buried in the monument of his fathers. And all Juda and Jerusalem mourned for him,


Therefore I will gather thee to thy fathers: and thou shalt be gathered to thy sepulchre in peace, that thy eyes may not see all the evils which I will bring upon this place.


Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which thou hast spoken, is good. Let peace and truth be in my days.


Hast thou not seen Achab humbled before me? Therefore, because he hath humbled himself for my sake, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.


And thy heart was softened, and thou hast humbled thyself in the sight of God for the things that are spoken against this place, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and reverencing my face, hast rent thy garments, and wept before me: I also have heard thee, saith the Lord.


And he called together all the ancients of Juda and Jerusalem.


And he humbled himself afterwards, because his heart had been lifted up, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and therefore the wrath of the Lord came not upon them in the days of Ezechias.
