Thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will bring evils upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, and all the curses that are written in this book which they read before the king of Juda.

When you shall have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he hath made with you, and shall have served strange gods, and adored them. Then shall the indignation of the Lord rise up quickly and speedily against you: and you shall be taken away from this excellent land, which he hath delivered to you.

And I will punish him and his seed and his servants, for their iniquities: and I will bring upon them and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem and upon the men of Juda all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they have not heard.

Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Juda, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, and they have not heard: I have called to them, and they have not answered me.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring in upon this city, and upon all the cities thereof all the evils that I have spoken against it: because they have hardened their necks, and they might not hear my words.

And thou shalt say: Hear the word of the Lord, O ye kings of Juda and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring an affliction upon this place: so that whoever shall hear it, his ears shall tingle.

Hear, O earth: Behold, I will bring evils upon this people, the fruits of their own thoughts: because they have not heard my words and they have cast away my law.

Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring on evils upon Jerusalem and Juda; that whosoever shall hear of them, both his ears shall tingle.

And she answered them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Tell the man that sent you to me:

But if you will not hear me, nor do all my commandments.

And if of them also some remain, they shall pine away in their iniquities, in the land of their enemies: and they shall be afflicted for the sins of their fathers, and their own.

From the days of our fathers. And we ourselves also have sinned grievously unto this day: and for our iniquities we, and our kings, and our priests have been delivered into the hands of the kings of the lands, and to the sword, and to captivity, and to spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is at this day.

And Micheas told them all the words that he had heard when Baruch read out of the volume in the hearing of the people.

So that when bread and water fail, every man may fall against his brother, and they may pine away in their iniquities.

Thou therefore, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: Thus you have spoken, saying: Our iniquities, and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them: how then can we live?
