In the two and fiftieth year of Azarias king of Juda, reigned Phacee the son of Romelia over Israel in Samaria twenty years.

After all these things his indignation is not turned away: but his hand is stretched out still.

Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will destroy thee. I am weary of entreating thee.

Thy own wickedness shall reprove thee, and thy apostasy shall rebuke thee. Know thou, and see that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not with thee, saith the Lord, the God of hosts.

And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria the son of Romelia. If you will not believe, you shall not continue.

And he shall destroy the wicked and the sinners together: and they that have forsaken the Lord shall be consumed:

In those days, the Lord began to send into Juda Rasin king of Syria, and Phacee the son of Romelia.

If you leave the Lord, and serve strange gods, he will turn, and will afflict you, and will destroy you after all the good he hath done you.

When you shall have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he hath made with you, and shall have served strange gods, and adored them. Then shall the indignation of the Lord rise up quickly and speedily against you: and you shall be taken away from this excellent land, which he hath delivered to you.

But if thou wilt not hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep and to do all his commandments and ceremonies, which I command thee this day, all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.

At the same time Zechri, a powerful man of Ephraim, slew Maasias the king's son, and Ezricam the governor of his house, and Elcana who was next to the king.

AND it came to pass in the days of Achaz the son of Joathan, the son of Ozias, king of Juda, that Rasin king of Syria, and Phacee the son of Romelia king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem, to fight against it: but they could not prevail over it.

Before thy malice was laid open: as it is at this time, making thee a reproach of the daughters of Syria and of all the daughters of Palestine round about thee, that encompass thee on all sides.

However, Edom revolted, from being under the dominion of Juda unto this day. At that time, Lobna also revolted, from being under his hand. For he had forsaken the Lord the God of his fathers.

Who as it were on purpose have revolted from him, and would not understand all his ways:

Thy fairest men also shall fall by the sword: and thy valiant ones in battle.
