2 Chronicles 21:19

And as day came after day, and time rolled on, two whole years passed. Then after being wasted with a long consumption, so as to void his very bowels, his disease ended with his life. And he died of a most wretched illness; and the people did not make a funeral for him according to the manner of burning, as they had done for his ancestors.

And they buried him in his own sepulchre, which he had made for himself in the city of David. And they laid him on his bed, full of spices and odoriferous ointments, which were made by the art of the perfumers. And they burnt them over him with very great pomp.

But thou shalt die in peace: and according to the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings that were before thee, so shall they burn thee. And they shall mourn for thee, saying: Alas, Lord! For I have spoken the word, saith the Lord.

And thou shalt be sick of a very grievous disease of thy bowels, till thy vital parts come out by little and little every day.

And departing they left him in great diseases. And his servants rose up him, for revenge of the blood of the son of Joiada the priest. And they slew him in his bed: and he died. And they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
