And these whose names are written above came in the days of Ezechias king of Juda: and they beat down their tents, and slew the inhabitants that were found there, and utterly destroyed them unto this day: and they dwelt in their place, because they found there fat pastures.

Now therefore, behold, the children of Ammon, and of Moab, and mount Seir (through whose lands thou didst not allow Israel to pass, when they came out of Egypt, but they turned aside from them, and slew them not)

And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians, that dwelt in Gurbaal, and against the Ammonites.

Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? Or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad, and his people dwelt in his cities?

And Asa had in his army of men that bore shields and spears, of Juda three hundred thousand, and of Benjamin that bore shields and drew bows, two hundred and eighty thousand. All these were most valiant men.
