And when the prophet shall err and speak a word: I the Lord have deceived that prophet: and I will stretch forth my hand upon him and will cut him off from the midst of my people Israel.
The Lord hath mingled in the midst thereof the spirit of giddiness: and they have caused Egypt to err in all its works, as a drunken man staggereth and vomiteth.
Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold, I devise an evil against this family: from which you shall not withdraw your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for this is a very evil time.

But he sent back the messengers, saying: The thistle that is in Libanus sent to the cedar in Libanus, saying: Give thy daughter to my son to wife. And behold, the beasts that were in the wood of Libanus passed by, and trod down the thistle.
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat: There is one man, of whom we may ask the will of the Lord: but I hate him; for he never prophesieth good to me, but always evil. And it is Micheas the son of Jemla. And Josaphat said: Speak not thus, O king.
And the Lord said to him as he was returning into Egypt: See that thou do all the wonders before Pharao, which I have put in thy hand. I shall harden his heart, and he will not let the people go.
And he answered: I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said: Thou shalt deceive, and shalt prevail. Go out, and do so.
