Let no evil speech proceed from your mouth; but that which is good, to the edification of faith, that it may administer grace to the hearers.

Not forsaking our assembly, as some are accustomed; but comforting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.

Let every one of you please his neighbour unto good, to edification.

But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called to day, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Therefore let us follow after the things that are of peace; and keep the things that are of edification one towards another.

So you also, forasmuch as you are zealous of spirits, seek to abound unto the edifying of the church.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon you most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

From whom the whole body, being compacted and fitly joined together, by what every joint supplieth, according to the operation in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body, unto the edifying of itself in charity.

All things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify.

For which cause I will begin to put you always in remembrance of these things: though indeed you know them, and are confirmed in the present truth.

Of old, think you that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ; but all things, my dearly beloved, for your edification.

And let the prophets speak, two or three; and let the rest judge.

And I myself also, my brethren, am assured of you, that you also are full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.

Not to give heed to fables and endless genealogies: which furnish questions rather than the edification of God, which is in faith.

For indeed you do it towards all the brethren in all Macedonia. But we entreat you, brethren, that you abound more:

And I would have you all to speak with tongues, but rather to prophesy. For greater is he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh with tongues: unless perhaps he interpret, that the church may receive edification.
