For it is better doing well (if such be the will of God) to suffer, than doing ill.

The sound word that can not be blamed: that he, who is on the contrary part, may be afraid, having no evil to say of us.

Having your conversation good among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by the good works, which they shall behold in you, glorify God in the day of visitation.

And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand,

In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.

But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted.

That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh, not after the desires of men, but according to the will of God.

Who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?

And five of them were foolish, and five wise.

In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity.

And to the needy there shall he hope: but iniquity shall draw in her mouth.

Is this the return thou makest to the Lord, O foolish and senseless people? Is not he thy father, that hath possessed thee, and made thee, and created thee?

But with modesty and fear, having a good conscience: that whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed who falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
