And one of the ancients said to me: Weep not; behold the lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And he set the cherubims in the midst of the inner temple: and the cherubims stretched forth their wings. And the wing of the one touched one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall: and the other wings in the midst of the temple touched one another.

Two cherubims also of beaten gold, which he set on the two sides of the propitiatory.

Thou shalt make also two cherubims of beaten gold, on the two sides of the oracle.

And he cast out Adam; and placed before the paradise of pleasure Cherubims, and a flaming sword, turning every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

And the work itself of the bases was intergraven: and there were gravings between the joinings.

And every base had four wheels, and axletrees of brass: and at the four sides were undersetters under the laver molten, looking one against another.
