He made also bases, and lavers, which he set upon the bases:

And the pillars of brass that were in the temple of the Lord, and the bases, and the sea of brass which was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldees broke in pieces: and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

The Chaldeans also broke in pieces the brazen pillars that were in the house of the Lord and the bases and the sea of brass that was in the house of the Lord: and they carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

And the two pillars and one sea and twelve oxen of brass that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord. There was no weight of the brass of all these vessels.

That is, two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made in the temple of the Lord. The brass of all these vessels was without weight.

He made also ten lavers of brass. One laver contained four bases, and was of four cubits: and upon every base, in all ten, he put as many lavers.

And the laver was a handbreadth thick: and the brim thereof was like the brim of a cup, or the leaf of a crisped lily. It contained two thousand bates.

And the work itself of the bases was intergraven: and there were gravings between the joinings.

And king Achaz took away the graven bases, and the laver that was upon them: and he took down the sea from the brazen oxen that held it up, and put it upon a pavement of stone.

For thus saith the Lord of hosts to the pillars and to the sea and to the bases and to the rest of the vessels that remain in this city,
