And the laver was a handbreadth thick: and the brim thereof was like the brim of a cup, or the leaf of a crisped lily. It contained two thousand bates.
And concerning the pillars, one pillar was eighteen cubits high, and a cord of twelve cubits compassed it about: but the thickness thereof was four fingers, and it was hollow within.
And two doors of olive-tree. And he carved upon them figures of cherubims, and figures of palm-trees, and carvings very much projecting: and he overlaid them with gold. And he covered both the cherubims and the palm-trees, and the other things with gold.
And all the house was covered within with cedar, having the turnings, and the joints thereof artfully wrought and carvings projecting out. All was covered with boards of cedar: and no stone could be seen in the wall at all.
And it stood upon twelve oxen, of which three looked towards the north, and three towards the west, and three towards the south, and three towards the east: and the sea was above upon them, and their hinder parts were all hid within.
The ephi and the bate shall be equal, and of one measure: that the bate may contain the tenth part of a core, and the ephi the tenth part of a core: their weight shall be equal according to the measure of a core.
