Behold, I have done for thee according to thy words, and have given thee a wise and understanding heart; insomuch that there hath been no one like thee before thee, nor shall arise after thee.

But the wisdom, that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.

But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men abundantly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Juda and Israel were innumerable, as the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.

Every best gift, and every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of alteration.

Then shalt thou see and abound, and thy heart shall wonder and be enlarged: when the multitude of the sea shall be converted to thee, the strength of the Gentiles shall come to thee.

And all Israel heard the judgment which the king had judged: and they feared the king, seeing that the wisdom of God was in him to do judgment.

And there was so great abundance of wheat, that it was equal to the sand of the sea: and the plenty exceeded measure.

As the stars of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea be measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant and the Levites my ministers.

I have spoken in my heart, saying: Behold I am become great, and have gone beyond all in wisdom, that were before me in Jerusalem: and my mind hath contemplated many things wisely, and I have learned.

But Madian and Amalec, and all the eastern people lay scattered in the valley, as a multitude of locusts. Their camels also were innumerable as the sand that lieth on the sea-shore.

They shall all come to the prey, their face is like a burning wind: and they shall gather together captives as the sand.
