Josias would not return, but prepared to fight against him, and hearkened not to the words of Nechao from the mouth of God, but went to fight in the field of Mageddo.

Then the king of Israel and Josaphat king of Juda, sat each on his throne clothed with royal robes, in a court by the entrance of the gate of Samaria and all the prophets prophesied before them.

So the prophet went, and met the king in the way, and disguised himself by sprinkling dust on his face and his eyes.

And Jeroboam said to his wife: Arise, and change thy dress, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam. And go to Silo, where Ahias the prophet is, who told me, that I should reign over this people.

Sent to Thecua, and fetched from thence a wise woman: and said to her: Feign thyself to be a mourner, and put on mourning apparel, and be not anointed with oil, that thou mayest be as a woman that had a long time been mourning for one dead.
