Then Elias was afraid, and rising up he went whithersoever he had a mind. And he came to Bersabee of Juda, and left his servant there.

Therefore that place was called Bersabee: because there both of them did swear.

Now all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then the disciples all leaving him, fled.

And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me.

Then I said: I will not make mention of him nor speak any more in his name. And there came in my heart as a burning fire, shut up in my bones: and I was wearied, not being able to bear it.
