Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

Because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

And not holding the head, from which the whole body, by joints and bands, being supplied with nourishment and compacted, groweth unto the increase of God.

Now you are the body of Christ, and members of member.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Or know you not, that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, who is in you, whom you have from God; and you are not your own?

Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. He is the saviour of his body.

He will come, and will destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. Which they hearing, said to him: God forbid.

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.

Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law.

But if while we seek to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners; is Christ then the minister of sin? God forbid.

Meat for the belly, and the belly for the meats; but God shall destroy both it and them: but the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Was that then which is good, made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it may appear sin, by that which is good, wrought death in me; that sin, by the commandment, might become sinful above measure.

What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? God forbid. But I do not know sin, but by the law; for I had not known concupiscence, if the law did not say: Thou shalt not covet.

What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

God forbid. For we that are dead to sin, how shall we live any longer therein?

Do we, then, destroy the law through faith? God forbid: but we establish the law.

Joseph answered: God forbid that I should do so. He that stole the cup, he shall be my bondman. And go you away free to your father.

(I speak according to man.) God forbid: otherwise how shall God judge this world?

Know you not that we shall judge angels? how much more things of this world?

But he who is joined to the Lord, is one spirit.
