And when the ark of the Lord was come into the city of David, Michol the daughter of Saul, looking out through a window, saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord: and she despised him in her heart.

Having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament covered about on every part with gold, in which was a golden pot that had manna, and the rod of Aaron, that had blossomed, and the tables of the testament.

For whether we be transported in mind, it is to God; or whether we be sober, it is for you.

And when you shall be multiplied and increase in the land in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the Lord. Neither shall it come upon the heart, neither shall they remember it, neither shall it be visited, neither shall that be done any more.

A time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance.

Praise him with timbrel and choir: praise him with strings and organs.

Let them praise his name in choir: let them sing to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.

For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed.

But Saul gave Michol his daughter, David's wife, to Phalti, the son of Lais, who was of Gallium.

And the people returned to the camp: and the ancients of Israel said: Why hath the Lord defeated us to-day before the Philistines? Let us fetch unto us the ark of the covenant of the Lord from Silo: and let it come in the midst of us, that it may save us from the hand of our enemies.

And inquired of him concerning their state. At that time the ark of the covenant of the Lord was there.

And all Israel brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord with joyful shouting, and sounding with the sound of the comet, and with trumpets, and cymbals, and psalteries, and harps.
