Blessed be the Lord thy God, whom thou hast pleased, and who hath set thee upon the throne of Israel: because the Lord hath loved Israel for ever, and hath appointed thee king, to do judgment and justice.
But even this hath seemed little in thy sight: and therefore thou hast also spoken concerning the house of thy servant for the time to come; and best made me remarkable above all men, O Lord God.
And now thus shalt thou speak to my servant David: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I took thee out of the pastures from following the sheep to be ruler over my people Israel.
Now if thou wilt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to do and keep all his commandments, which I command thee this day, the Lord thy God will make thee higher than all the nations that are on the earth.
And I will give thy servants the workmen that are to cut down the trees, for their food, twenty thousand cores of wheat, and as many cores of barley, and twenty thousand measures of wine, and twenty thousand measures of oil.
