Her husband is known at the city gates, where he sits among the elders of the land.


So she wrote letters  in Ahab’s name and sealed them with his seal.  She sent the letters to the elders  and nobles who lived with Naboth in his city.


They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; so they came, seized him, and took him to the Sanhedrin.


The elders have left the city gate, the young men, their music.


If she is displeasing to her master, who chose her for himself, then he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners because he has acted treacherously towards her.
