Therefore the Lord God said: ‘Look, I have laid a stone  in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.  ,


For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,   ,


This hope will not disappoint us,  because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts  through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.


Israel will be saved by the  Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity.


So now, little children, remain in him so that when he appears  we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.


My eager expectation and hope  is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honoured in my body, whether by life  or by death.


and that is why I suffer  these things. But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to guard what has been entrusted to me  , until that day.


Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces;   but on whomever it falls, it will shatter him.’


Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is what the Lord has done and it is wonderful in our eyes?   ,


‘Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.


Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning them  is for their salvation.


Now, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offence of the cross  has been abolished.
