I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body,  I live by faith in the Son of God,  who loved  me  and gave himself  for me.


to take off  , your former way of life,  the old self  that is corrupted by deceitful desires,


Now those who belong to Christ Jesus  have crucified the flesh  with its passions and desires.


But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.


Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity,  lust,  evil desire, and greed,  which is idolatry.


because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,  you will live.


But now, since you have been set free from sin and have become enslaved to God,  you have your fruit, which results in sanctification   #– #and the outcome is eternal life!


Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey  its desires.


Lord our God, lords other than you have owned   us, but we remember your name alone.


Naaman responded, ‘If not, please let your servant be given as much soil as a pair of mules can carry,  for your servant will no longer offer a burnt offering or a sacrifice to any other god but the Lord.


For we know that the law is spiritual,  but I am of the flesh,  sold  as a slave under sin.


For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all,  and therefore all died.


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions  and pleasures,  living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.
