For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

He made the one who did not know sin  to be sin  for us,  so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead,  , so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards,  they might live  in the spirit according to God’s standards.


For Christ also suffered  for sins once for all,  the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God.  He was put to death in the flesh  , but made alive by the Spirit,


And he died for all  so that those who live should no longer live for themselves,  but for the one  who died for them and was raised.


For what the law could not do  since it was weakened by the flesh,  God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh  as a sin offering,  ,


So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin  and alive to God in Christ Jesus.


He is not the God of the dead but of the living, because all are living to   him.’


because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead,  will not die again. Death no longer rules over him.
