Circumcision benefits you if you observe the law; but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

Circumcise yourselves to the  Lord; remove the foreskin of your hearts, men of Judah and residents of Jerusalem. Otherwise, my wrath will break out like fire and burn with no one to extinguish it because of your evil deeds.


For  both circumcision and uncircumcision  mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.


‘You stiff-necked  people with uncircumcised hearts and ears!  You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.


The Lord your God will circumcise your heart  and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love him with all your heart and all your soul so that you will live.


For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly,  and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.


You who boast in the law,  do you dishonour God by breaking the law?


For the hearers of the law  are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.


So if an uncircumcised  man keeps the law’s requirements,  will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?


A man who is physically uncircumcised, but who keeps the law, will judge you  who are a lawbreaker in spite of having the letter of the law and circumcision.


Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter. Keeping God’s commands is what matters.


For even the circumcised don’t keep  the law themselves, and yet they want you to be circumcised in order to boast about your flesh.
