Wine is a mocker,  beer is a brawler; whoever goes astray  because of them is not wise.


Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, who are champions at pouring beer,


Blessed are you, land, when your king is a son of nobles and your princes feast at the proper time – for strength and not for drunkenness.
