The fear of the  Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.


A beautiful woman who rejects good sense is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.


For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory   like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,


To fear the Lord is to hate evil. I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech.


So don’t judge  anything prematurely, before the Lord comes,  who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

Don’t lust in your heart for her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyelashes.


No man in all Israel was as handsome  and highly praised as Absalom. From the sole of his foot to the top of his head, he did not have a single flaw.


For the sun rises and, together with the scorching wind, dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance perishes. In the same way, the rich person will wither away while pursuing his activities.


When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God  and keep his commands, because this is for all  humanity.


On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly,  and circumcision is of the heart #– #by the Spirit, not the letter.  , That person’s praise is not from people but from God.

It is good that you grasp the one and do not let the other slip from your hand. For the one who fears God will end up with both of them.


A gracious woman gains honour, but violent  people gain only riches.


Humility, the fear of the  Lord, results in wealth, honour, and life.


‘Many women  have done noble deeds, but you surpass them all! ’


Give her the reward of her labour, and let her works praise her at the city gates.
