The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.


Nevertheless God was not pleased with most of them, since they were struck down in the wilderness.


I overthrew some of you as I  overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick snatched from a fire, yet you did not return to me   – This is the  Lord’s declaration.


The wicked one is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous one has a refuge in his death.


He leans on his web, but it doesn’t stand firm. He grabs it, but it does not hold up.


I have seen a fool taking root, but I immediately pronounced a curse on his home.


Let whoever is wise  understand these things, and whoever is insightful recognise them. For the ways of the  Lord are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.


Righteousness guards people of integrity, but wickedness undermines the sinner.


So it was, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham and brought Lot out of the middle of the upheaval when he demolished the cities where Lot had lived.


When the wicked increase, rebellion increases, but the righteous will see their downfall.
