Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
I am confident in the Lord that I myself will also come soon.
I do not mean that we lord it over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in your faith.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We have also obtained access through him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
‘And now I know that none of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will ever see me again.
Though you have not seen him, you love him; though not seeing him now, you believe in him, and you rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy,
I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me by word and deed for the obedience of the Gentiles,
strengthening the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith and by telling them, ‘It is necessary to go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.’
When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts,
But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.’
but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
Meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, since I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
