Therefore, I will send fire against Teman, and it will consume the citadels of Bozrah.


therefore this is what the Lord God says: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off both people and animals from it. I will make it a wasteland; they will fall by the sword from Teman to Dedan.


Look! It will be like an eagle soaring upwards, then swooping down and spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman with contractions.

Now when Job’s three friends #– #Eliphaz the Temanite,  Bildad the Shuhite,  and Zophar the Naamathite #– #heard about all this adversity that had happened to him, each of them came from his home. They met together to go and sympathise with him and comfort  him.


Saviours  will ascend Mount Zion to rule over the hill country of Esau, and the kingdom will be the  Lord’s.


Even the most courageous of the warriors will flee naked on that day   – this is the  Lord’s declaration.


When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites  reigned in his place.


Look, your troops are like women among you; your land’s city gates are wide open to your enemies. Fire will devour the bars of your gates.


Don’t provoke them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even a foot of it,  because I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his possession.


If thieves came to you, if marauders by night – how ravaged you would be! – wouldn’t they steal only what they wanted? If grape harvesters came to you, wouldn’t they leave a few grapes?


God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran.  Selah His splendour covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.
