After I made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people,  ‘Don’t be afraid of them.  Remember the great and awe-inspiring Lord, and fight for your countrymen, your sons and daughters, your wives and homes.’

Be strong! Let’s prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God.  May the Lord’s will be done.’  ,


Only don’t rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land, for we will devour them.  Their protection  has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us. Don’t be afraid of them! ’


Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?   ,


Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul;   rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


I said, Lord, the God of the heavens, the great and awe-inspiring God who keeps his gracious covenant with those who love him  and keep his commands,


‘Be strong and courageous!  Don’t be afraid or discouraged before the king of Assyria or before the large army that is with him, for there are more with us than with him.


Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?  Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’


For the Lord your God is the God of gods  and Lord of lords,  the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe.


See, the Lord your God has set the land before you. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has told you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.


Out of the north he comes, shrouded in a golden glow; awesome  majesty surrounds him.


So remember your Creator in the days of your youth: Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say, ‘I have no delight in them’;


The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet.’


He caused their chariot wheels to swerve  , and made them drive  with difficulty. ‘Let’s get away from Israel,’ the Egyptians said, ‘because the Lord is fighting for them against Egypt! ’


After he arrived, he sounded the ram’s horn throughout the hill country of Ephraim. The Israelites came down with him from the hill country, and he became their leader.


With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly towards the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.


Then the Lord will go out to fight against those nations as he fights on a day of battle.
