Then the news about him spread throughout Syria.  So they brought to him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics.  And he healed them.

‘Lord,’ he said, ‘have mercy on my son, because he has seizures  and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire and often into the water.


‘Lord, my servant is lying at home paralysed, in terrible agony.’


But the news  about him spread even more, and large crowds would come together to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.


This first registration took place while  Quirinius was governing Syria.


Then Jesus rebuked the demon,  and it  came out of him,  and from that moment  the boy was healed.


Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out,  ‘Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely tormented by a demon.’


Then a demon-possessed man  who was blind and unable to speak was brought to him. He healed him, so that the man  could both speak and see.


how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.


They wrote: ‘From the apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers and sisters among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.


They came to him bringing a paralytic,  carried by four of them.


When  evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to him all those who were ill  and demon-possessed.


Now Jesus began to go all over Galilee,  teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every  disease and sickness  among the people.


He said, ‘If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.’


He travelled through Syria  and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


Then Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit,  and news about him spread throughout the entire vicinity.


At once the news about him spread throughout the entire vicinity of Galilee.


At that time  Herod the tetrarch  heard the report about Jesus.


Then David’s fame spread throughout the lands, and the Lord caused all the nations to be terrified of him.


The queen of Sheba  heard about Solomon’s fame  connected with the name of the Lord and came to test him with difficult questions.


He was wiser than anyone   #– #wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite,  and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol.  His reputation extended to all the surrounding nations.


And the Lord was with Joshua,  and his fame spread throughout the land.


Others were saying, ‘These aren’t the words of someone who is demon-possessed. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind? ’


Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom,  and healing every  disease and every sickness.  ,


Then news of this spread throughout that whole area.


When he had come to the other side,  to the region of the Gadarenes,  two demon-possessed men met him as they came out of the tombs. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.


Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and brought tribute. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.


So to the best of my ability I’ve made provision for the house of my God:  gold for the gold articles, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, as well as onyx, stones for mounting,  antimony,  , stones of various colours, all kinds of precious stones, and a great quantity of marble.


Then the men who tended them fled. They went into the city and reported everything, especially what had happened to those who were demon-possessed.


Since they were not able to bring him to  Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and after digging through it, they lowered the mat on which the paralytic was lying.


Which is easier:   to say to the paralytic,   “Your sins are forgiven,” or to say, “Get up, take your mat, and walk”?


After he left the synagogue, he entered Simon’s house.  Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her.


But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’  #– #he told the paralysed man, ‘I tell you: Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.’


For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed, and many who were paralysed and lame were healed.


This report about him went throughout Judea and all the vicinity.


After this, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed.
