He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.


After they had rowed about five or six kilometres,  they saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near the boat, and they were afraid.


He saw them straining  at the oars,  because the wind was against them. Very early in the morning  he came towards them walking on the sea and wanted to pass by them.


But know this: If the homeowner had known what time   the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.


If he comes in the middle of the night, or even near dawn,   and finds them alert, blessed are those servants.


Then the angel that I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven.


and he held a little scroll opened in his hand. He put his right foot on the sea, his left on the land,


Then the voice that I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, ‘Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.’


Therefore be alert,   since you don’t know when the master   of the house is coming #– #whether in the evening or at midnight or at the crowing of the cock or early in the morning.
