Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

It was as he reclined at the table with them that he took the bread, blessed and broke  it, and gave it to them.


As soon as you enter the city, you will find him before he goes to the high place to eat. The people won’t eat until he comes because he must bless the sacrifice; after that, the guests can eat. Go up immediately #– #you can find him now.’


After he said these things and had taken some bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all of them, and after he broke it, he began to eat.


He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves. He kept giving them to his disciples to set before the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.


and when he had given thanks, broke it, and said,  ‘This is my body, which is   for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’


Whoever observes the day, observes it for the honour of the Lord.  Whoever eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to God;  and whoever does not eat, it is for the Lord that he does not eat it, and he gives thanks to God.


And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name  of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.


The cup  of blessing  that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread  that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?


(For about five thousand men were there.) Then he told his disciples, ‘Have them sit down   in groups of about fifty each.’


Looking up to heaven,  he sighed deeply and said to him, ‘Ephphatha! ’  (that is, ‘Be opened! ’).


So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.


Some boats from Tiberias  came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.


Then he instructed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass.


So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised his eyes and said, ‘Father, I thank   you that you heard me.


And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, ‘This is my body,   which is given for you. Do this in remembrance   of me.’


Then he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven,  he blessed and broke them.  He kept giving them to the disciples to set before the crowd.


‘Bring them here to me,’ he said.


Then he took a cup,  and after giving thanks,  he said, ‘Take this and share it among yourselves.
