‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.

In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom  and knowledge.


In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce   all his possessions   cannot be my disciple.


For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.


And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother   or children or fields because of my name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.


Get wisdom – how much better it is than gold! And get understanding – it is preferable to silver.


Buy #– #and do not sell #– #truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.


I advise you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich,   white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed,   and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see.


Then Peter responded to him, ‘See, we have left everything and followed you. So what will there be for us? ’


‘If you want to be perfect,’   Jesus said to him, ‘go, sell your belongings and give to the poor,   and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.’


‘Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the water; and you without silver, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without silver and without cost!


For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction,  so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.


He presented another parable to them: ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.


For you sympathised with the prisoners  and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, because you know that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.  ,


‘I am   the bread of life,’ Jesus told them. ‘No one who comes to me   will ever be hungry,   and no one who believes in me   will ever be thirsty   again.


Why does a fool have money in his hand with no intention of buying wisdom?


Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,  singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.


One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound wisdom.


No one can know its value, since it cannot be found in the land of the living.


When he found one priceless   pearl, he went and sold everything he had and bought it.
