He said to them, ‘Are you also as lacking in understanding? Don’t you realise that nothing going into a person from the outside can defile him?

We have a great deal to say about this, and it is difficult to explain, since you have become too lazy to understand.

He said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

Why is it you don’t understand that when I told you, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees,” it wasn’t about bread? ’

I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, since you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready,

‘Are you a teacher of Israel and don’t know these things? ’ Jesus replied.

Then he said to them, ‘Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand all of the parables?

It’s not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth #– #this defiles a person.’

When he went into the house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him about the parable.

For it doesn’t go into his heart but into the stomach and is eliminated’ (thus he declared all foods clean ).
