Since Judas  kept the money-bag, some thought that Jesus was telling him, ‘Buy what we need for the festival,’  or that he should give something to the poor.


These people are discontented grumblers, living according to their desires;  their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering  people for their own advantage.


Do everything without grumbling  and arguing,


Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share  with anyone in need.


And don’t grumble  as some of them did,  , and were killed by the destroyer.  ,


Jesus answered them, ‘Stop grumbling among yourselves.


Philip answered him, ‘Two hundred denarii  , worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.’


And the Pharisees and scribes were complaining, ‘This man welcomes sinners  and eats with them.’


When they received it, they began to complain to the landowner:


‘That servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.   , He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, “Pay what you owe! ”


You grumbled in your tents  and said, “The Lord brought us out of the land of Egypt to hand us over to the Amorites in order to destroy us, because he hates us.


But some were expressing indignation to one another: ‘Why has this perfume been wasted?


Jesus replied, ‘Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a noble thing   for me.


‘This might have been sold for a great deal and given to the poor.’
