‘Then if anyone tells you, “See, here is the Messiah! See, there! ” do not believe it.

Then he said, ‘Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, “I am he,” and, “The time is near.” Don’t follow them.

For many will come in my name, saying, “I am the Messiah,” and they will deceive many.

I have come in my Father’s name, and yet you don’t accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

If the Lord had not cut those days short, no one would be saved. But he cut those days short for the sake of the elect, whom he chose.

For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
