After  John was arrested,  Jesus went to Galilee,  proclaiming  the good news  ,, of God:

Now Jesus began to go all over Galilee,  teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every  disease and sickness  among the people.


When he heard that John had been arrested,  he withdrew into Galilee.


He came and proclaimed the good news  of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.


Afterwards he was travelling from one town and village to another,  preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God.  The Twelve were with him,


After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and testified about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them about Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.


Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom,  and healing every  disease and every sickness.  ,


‘And now I know that none of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will ever see me again.


‘This is John the Baptist,’ he told his servants. ‘He has been raised from the dead, and that’s why miraculous powers are at work in him.’


Herod added this to everything else #– #he locked up John in prison.


Now when John heard in prison what the Christ was doing, he sent a message through his disciples


From then on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, because the kingdom of heaven   has come near.’
