The cup  of blessing  that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread  that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?


In the same way he also took the cup after supper and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant   in my blood,   which is poured out for you.


and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual rock  that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

It was as he reclined at the table with them that he took the bread, blessed and broke  it, and gave it to them.

Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia  and corresponds to the present Jerusalem,  for she is in slavery with her children.
