Obey your leaders  and submit to them, since they keep watch  over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.


Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.


Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching.


The elders who are good leaders are to be considered worthy of double honour,  especially those who work hard  at preaching and teaching.


Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others,  as good stewards of the varied grace of God.


As an overseer  of God’s household, he must be blameless, not arrogant, not hot-tempered, not an excessive drinker, not a bully, not greedy for money,


Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock  of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers,  to shepherd the church of God,  which he purchased with his own blood.


When evening came, the owner of the vineyard told his foreman, “Call the workers and give them their pay,   starting with the last and ending with the first.”


You eat the fat, wear the wool, and butcher the fattened animals, but you do not tend the flock.


The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens me each morning; he awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed.


A person takes joy in giving an answer; and a timely word #– #how good that is!


Moses was faithful as a servant  in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.


But if I should be delayed, I have written so that you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household,  which is the church of the living God,  the pillar and foundation of the truth.


When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her  and said, ‘Don’t weep.’


‘Therefore,’ he said to them, ‘every teacher of the law   who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom treasures new and old.’


I will raise up shepherds over them who will tend them.  They will no longer be afraid or discouraged, nor will any be missing.’  This is the Lord’s declaration.


Whoever tends a fig tree  will eat its fruit, and whoever looks after his master will be honoured.


She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and portions  for her female servants.


and sent them to the Lord, asking, ‘Are you the one  who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ’


Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes.


Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work for the sanctuary came one by one from the work they were doing


A man is praised for his insight, but a twisted mind is despised.
