‘Do not act unjustly  when deciding a case. Do not be partial  to the poor or give preference to the rich;  judge your neighbour fairly.

Do not show partiality when deciding a case;  listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgement belongs to God.  Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.


These sayings also belong to the wise: It is not good to show partiality in judgement.


“The one who denies justice to a resident foreigner, a fatherless child, or a widow is cursed.” And all the people will say, “Amen! ”


‘Do not be unfair  in measurements of length, weight, or volume.


It is not good to show partiality to the guilty, denying an innocent person justice.


Do not deny justice or show partiality to anyone. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.


But you should select from all the people able men, God-fearing, trustworthy, and hating dishonest profit.  Place them over the people as commanders of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.


Stop judging   according to outward appearances; rather judge according to righteous judgement.’


Then Paul said to him, ‘God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! You are sitting there judging me according to the law, and yet in violation of the law are you ordering me to be struck? ’


For the Lord your God is the God of gods  and Lord of lords,  the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe.


Would you show partiality  to him or argue the case in his defence?


I will be partial to no one, and I will not give anyone an undeserved title.


God is not partial  to princes and does not favour the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands.


Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the oppressed and needy.
