The day that Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes was a Sabbath.
Instantly the man got well, picked up his mat, and started to walk. Now that day was the Sabbath,
Therefore, the Jews began persecuting Jesus because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
One Sabbath, when he went in to eat at the house of one of the leading Pharisees, they were watching him closely.
On the Sabbath he was going through the cornfields, and his disciples began to make their way, picking some ears of corn.
After he said these things he spat on the ground, made some mud from the saliva, and spread the mud on his eyes.
They brought the man who used to be blind to the Pharisees.
