Jesus responded, ‘Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.

Don’t you know that if you offer yourselves to someone  as obedient slaves,  you are slaves of that one you obey   #– #either of sin leading to death  or of obedience leading to righteousness?


They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.


A wicked man’s iniquities will trap him; he will become tangled in the ropes of his own sin.


Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey  its desires.

For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter   or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished.
