‘You give them something to eat,’ he told them. ‘We have no more than five loaves  and two fish,’ they said, ‘unless we go and buy food for all these people.’


He asked them, ‘How many loaves do you have? Go and see.’ When they found out they said, ‘Five, and two fish.’


‘But we only have five loaves and two fish here,’ they said to him.


Don’t you understand yet? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many baskets you collected?


When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of leftovers did you collect? ’ ‘Twelve,’ they told him.

Each man brought the barley and the straw for the chariot teams and the other horses  to the required place according to his assignment.

Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks he distributed them to those who were seated #– #so also with the fish, as much as they wanted.


When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.


‘Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,’ Jesus told them.


Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did the same with the fish.
